EUSR Work at Height (WAH) & Harness Use & Inspection

The Energy & Utility Skills Register (EUSR) accredited Work at Height and Harness Use & Inspection course combines theory based awareness training with practical instruction and assessment of harness usage and self-inspection.

The 1 day (5 hour) course can accommodate up to 8 delegates per day.

Course Objectives 

  • Understand legislation and guidance pertaining to work at height including HASWA 74, CDM 2015, PUWER 1998, PPE 1992, and the Work at Height Regulations 2005  
  • Define work at height and explain the requirements for working at height, including roles and responsibilities and safe working practices
  • Become familiar with various types of personal fall protection equipment (PFPE) and the inspection and testing requirements of PFPE
  • Identify the dangers and hazards associated with working at height
  • Understand the requirement for risk assessments unique to working at height
  • Recognise and select suitable equipment for the working at height task
  • Demonstrate the correct usage of and carry out a self- inspection of a harness (your personal fall protection equipment - PFPE)
  • Consider and discuss the importance of rescue plans

Anyone who is requires a greater understanding of and awareness of working at height and  harness use and inspection. This training is ideal for an entry level to general working at height

Certification 

  • EUSR WAH and Harness Use & Inspection (valid for 3 years) 
  • Groundforce Training certificate of attendance (in addition to EUSR card)
