Groundforce Training Services has gained further industry accreditation following confirmation they are now a CITB Approved Training Organisation (ATO).
Attainment of this status means that Groundforce Training, one of the UK’s leading excavation safety support training providers, is recognised by the CITB as a company which can deliver construction courses and qualifications to a defined and industry-agreed standard.
How the CITB supports training for the construction industry is changing, through new services such as the Construction Training Directory and Construction Training Register.
Groundforce Training is also part of the Construction Training Directory where CITB levy payers can access CITB grant-funded training courses and be assured that any training booked is easily reimbursed as part of the automated grant payments system.
Meg Hankinson, CITB Advisor, said: “We welcome Groundforce becoming an approved training organisation and they are one of the first wave of companies to achieve this status. We want many more training providers to use the new directory so that employers can access training knowing it is of the right quality.”
Chris Gearren, General Manager of Groundforce Training Services, commented: “We’ve always been committed to delivering accredited or industry-recognised safety training qualifications. Therefore, our business fully supports the CITB initiative to ensure all training providers wanting to become an ATO meet industry standards.
“We are now pleased to communicate to our clients and prospects that we are a CITB Approved Training Organisation and we look forward to working with employers up and down the UK to assist with any externally-sourced safety training requirements.”
