Groundforce Training Scales New Heights

04 May

Groundforce has taken its training capability to a whole new level with course additions and accreditations, one of which makes the company the only provider to offer such.

Less than two years after opening the purpose-built training centre in Worksop, the company has won EUSR (Energy and Utility Skills Register) accreditation for its one-day course “Appreciation of Excavation Safety”. This is the course that only Groundforce can offer.

The company has also added a new two-day EUSR Utility Excavations Category 3 course “Install, Inspect and Remove Timber Support Systems for Timber Shoring” to its training portfolio. An accredited three-day course is also available for delegates who wish to do both timber and proprietary shoring. This is both Category 3 and 5 and is a double award.

In addition to the extra courses, Groundforce now also offers training away from its dedicated centre, in locations such as Liverpool, Blackpool, Birmingham, Durham, Uxbridge, Edinburgh and East London. If contractors have appropriate facilities, the company will even deliver training at depots or on site.

And for contractors unable to spare any more than one or two employees at a time, Groundforce runs a constantly updated open course schedule which are perfect for last minute bookings.

Groundforce training courses are delivered by City and Guilds qualified trainers to a minimum level of PTLLS (preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) and comprise a combination of classroom-based workshops with practical training on real-life scenarios in a 1,400ft2 outdoor training area. They have won Gold Provider status from EEIAS (the Energy and Efficiency Independent Assessment Service).
